Platinum Transport, RRG’s (PTI, RRG) comprehensive membership acceptance procedure was created to fully allow the PTI,
RRG underwriters to assess all risks pertaining to each proposed owner operator and trucking companies.
PTI, RRG uses the Central Analysis Bureau (CAB) & FMCSA Safer System to gauge numerical safety and maintenance scores,
habits and improvements of all prospective members. We also provide safety and maintenance manuals for all of our
insured members.
To be an insured of Platinum Transport Insurance Risk Retention Group, Inc. (PTIRRG), you must also be a member of Platinum
Transport Holdings, LLC (PT Holdings). PT Holdings is a California limited liability holding company, and it is the sole stockholder
of PTIRRG. In order to be a member of PT Holdings, you must annually pay to PT Holdings a membership admission fee
(e.g., capital contribution) equal to $500.00 multiplied by the number of insured vehicles you own or control that are covered
by the policy of insurance issued by PTIRRG. If your insurance coverage from PTIRRG or your membership in PT Holdings
is cancelled or terminated, you may be entitled to a return of premium from PTIRRG and a pro-rata return of the membership
admission fees (e.g., capital contributions) you made to PT Holdings.
Additionally, if the number of vehicles you own or control that are insured under a policy of insurance issued
by PTIRRG decreases or increases within a policy year, you may be entitled to a return of premium and a pro-rata
return of your membership admission fees (e.g., capital contributions) as mentioned above, or you may be required
to pay more premium to PTIRRG and or pay additional membership admission fees (e.g., capital contributions) to PT Holdings.
The determinations of premiums that flow through Platinum Transport Insurance, RRG are firmly based on CAB
and Safer System scores. Along with safety and maintenance scores, premiums are also based upon the prospects
3 year loss history, experience, commodities being hauled and overall driving trends.
